The Chatham Naval Officers Association originated in 1947 drawing membership from the RNVSR, RNVR and RNR. The facilities of the now closed HMS Pembroke were then used to arrange a regular programme of naval events together with social entertainment.

Today the membership is open to serving and former Commissioned Officers of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and their reserves.

Meetings are now held monthly in the Royal School of Military Engineering Brompton Barracks for lectures and a social gathering, the main emphasis now being to support the Royal Navy, Naval and service Charities and the Armed Services Generally.
